Amsterdam canals

To our great delight no two cities that we have been in have been the same.... they are all unique and different... the most different being Amsterdam... such a city... after the bikes the first thing you notice is the presence of the canals.... Amsterdam has always depended and used the canals (many dug by hand centuries ago) for transport and protection... kind of like i thought italy would be like not the netherlands.... so we toured the city on the canals...
