Anne Frank

The main reason i wanted to bring Aja to Amsterdam was to see and experience part of the Anne Frank story.... the street and place where she and seven other people remained hidden for two years before being discovered and shipped off to concentration camps is still alive with her spirit... it is hard to imagine the autrocity done to 6 million people but when you come face to face with one single one of them.... you are moved to tears by her story.... to imagine the other 5 999 999 stories would drive you mad.... let us not forget the six million.... and let us not forget the one... aja and i will never forget Anne and are looking forward to reading her diary...

  1. A brief glimpse of Anne Frank looking out the window caught on video, when her neighbour was getting married:

  2. I also came across on YouTube a movie about Ann Frank that looks well done... the actor that played Ghandi is in it. It's broken up into parts, but if you search 'Anne Frank: The Whole Story,' you can watch it.

    Loving the updates. =)

  3. Hitler's legacy of genocide/holocaust involved a total of about 12,000,000 people. In addition to the 6,000,000 Jewish, there was, according to an American Gypsy friend of mine that was involved in Gypsy rights, an additional 3,000,000 Gypsies (Rom/Roma People). Checking for more info just now, at http://www.gypsyadvice.com/gypsy_lore.htm
it says "Figures for the number of gypsies killed during the holocaust range from 200,000 to a conservative 500,000. As gypsies could not read or write, many were not registered at the camps and if they were registered, a simple 'Z" was placed where their name should be. Most gypsies were either killed in transit or where they were captured with no record of their deaths. A more realistic number of gypsy deaths is between 1.5 and 4 million, 80% of the European gypsies, slaughtered at the hands of the Nazis."
In addition, there were another 3,000,000 people killed because they didn't fit the "Aryan" racial profile that Hitler wanted -- disabled, impaired, homosexuals.... Lest We Forget, indeed....
