Amsterdam shoes

There are museums in amsterdam dedicated to shoes... every tourist shop is full of wooden shoes painted with a wide array of designs and colours and made of everything... even wood... although the chocolate ones were my favorite... I did not actually see anyone wearing wooden shoes.... amazing... no kilts in scotland, no crowds of people clicking along in wooden shoes here... where is the perpetuation of the myths we love to imagine .. well at least i can look forward to the french with their red and white striped shirts and barrets...
